In July 2016 we visited the company myposter.de, known for their high quality digital printing products. Here is a short overview. Have a look at the team and their office and production site in Bergkirchen (a village nearby Munich).
Most of us have lots of pictures on our Laptops. But do we ever take a look at these? Probably not.
Myposter has a solution.
Founded by the brothers René and Marc Ruhland in 2011 the company has specialised in individualised digital printing.
After uploading a picture – via website or Myposter app – the customer can choose between different products. The options range from high quality prints on different materials, for example canvas, acrylic glass, adhesive foil or artist paper to photo books and other products.
Once uploaded the picture can be edited by using different effects. Various shapes and sizes also can be selected.
Apart from printing own photos the customer can also choose one of over 1.000 motifs.
Sorted by colours and topics you can also find award-winning photographs here.
To complete the service Myposter offers handmade frames.
Moreover, Myposter serves corporate clients including end users as well as resellers.
For this group of clients, the company offers a white label solution:
Myposter will ship the products directly on behalf of the customer including the delivery note with the corresponding address, logo and corporate design.
This solution is especially interesting for photographers who want to sell their prints to their own clients.
The company publishes also the myposter online magazine.
Here you can find professional articles written by photographers and experts.
Myposter supports environmental protection. The company pays attention to energy efficiency and sustainability during the whole production process.
For example, the filling material is made of material residues and the wood used for the picture frames comes exclusively from controlled forestry.
To guarantee high quality products the whole production process takes place at the company´s headquarter located in Bergkirchen near Munich. Since 2017 Myposter has a second location.
Due to the increasing number of employees the software development, the marketing team, the graphics department, product management and recruiting management moved to a new office in the center of Munich.
Meanwhile more than 170 people work at Myposter. In addition to the German market the company has extended its service to other European countries. Currently it serves clients in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, France, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands and Spain.
With an average annual growth rate of 102%, the company was ranked fifth among Germany’s fastest-growing companies in the retail sector (including mail order and e-commerce) in 2015.
The honour is awarded by the magazine Focus in cooperation with the statistics portal statista.
