Your Business
Please, tell us something about your company.
We are a creative brand consultancy, that was founded 1979.
Our Berlin office is the beautiful MetaHaus an old converted power transformer station in Charlottenburg.
MetaDesign has additional offices in Düsseldorf, Zürich, Lausanne, San Francisco and Beijing.
What is your core business?
Our core business revolves around all matters of brand strategy and Design.
For example, potential MetaDesign projects include naming and brand architecture, brand design, digital brand experience, brand environments development, brand activation and brand governance.
Whether it is new employer branding strategy for a renowned retailer, spatial design for an automotive brand or brand positioning for a telecommunications company.
MetaDesign delivers four decades of experience in working with meaningful brands.
In which countries are you active? Are you planning to expand your venture in other countries?
MetaDesign is a global player and has offices in today’s main global trade regions—in Europe, North America and China.
Furthermore, as we are part of the Publicis Groupe, we have a widespread network of sister agencies.
Where necessary, we unite all of our competencies into one dedicated team. We call this approach ‘Power of One’.
Where do you see the company in 5 years?
We hope to still be Germany’s leading Brand Consultancy. Leading not only in size but, even more importantly, we will continue to define relevant modern branding for and with our clients.
For example, we just recently published our study on voice interfaces, which provides brands with a starting point on the question of how to approach conversation and voice in branding.

Your Team
How many employees work at your company right now? Are you planing to expand?
Right now, there are 300 colleagues working at MetaDesign. Being part of Publicis Communications, our extended family consists of 30,000 passionate members spread over 100 offices in 20 countries, and we are constantly growing.
What is the average age of your team members?

Your Office
How big is your Office?
Our Berlin office is located in the spectacular MetaHaus, a former power substation.
It is full of secret passages and high-ceilinged meeting rooms, has a beautiful rooftop terrace and has preserved its former control center—a room full of mysterious buttons and readout systems.
Together with other sister brands from the Publicis Groupe, we share a workspace of 7.500m2.
Did you get help from an interior designer by designing the office? And if who did you work together with?
At the turn of the millennium the well-known architects Petra and Paul Kahlfedlt converted the substation into this amazing office building.
Since then, our amazing Office Management has taken care of maintaining the house as well as all matters of interior design.
In all shared spaces you can find art, beautiful fresh flowers and tasteful décor–always following a clean and stylish design concept.
