Roman, please tell us something about your Company. When was your company founded? And what is your companies core business?
Lesara GmbH is an international online store for affordable fashion and lifestyle products which was founded in 2013 with the mission to make the latest products and exclusive deals accessible to everyone.

How did you get to your business idea and when was your company established?
While working as the CEO of Fab Europe, a home decor and design company which we merged with after I started my first business Casacanda in 2011, my two big projects were to expand internationally and build up a private label business for the company.
As part of the due diligence, I traveled through many manufacturing countries, including places in Asia. That is when I noticed the shift in manufacturing and production patterns, from single, large quarterly orders of millions by a few big retailers and wholesalers, to a more agile way of producing for orders of smaller batches.
Factories had multiple buyers, ranging from the same old traditional offline chains to smaller stores and individuals. We saw that a lot of China-based marketplaces started to win a fast developing online & mobile market for affordable fashion & lifestyle products, that offline giants were too slow and not knowledgeable enough to cater to.
We observed that those marketplaces however were often structurally unable to deliver a good customer experience – long delivery times, poor product quality, lack of customer service or services such as returns, refunds made it hard to build a long-term promising business instead of a purely one-time transactional business.
Hence we decided to combine the great price points and access to fast moving factories with a lean, efficient and frictionless supply chain & fulfilling customer experience and founded Lesara in September 2013:
