In September 2016 we visited Glispa Global Group’s HQ Office in Berlin.

Please tell us something about your Company, when was your company founded, your location, in how many countries are you active?
Glispa Global Group is a mobile marketing pioneer empowering clients to activate global audiences and move markets.
Providing a full suite of technology-based services, Glispa partners with global advertisers, app developers and publishers, enabling them to reach their user acquisition and monetization goals.
Founded in 2008, our global headquarters are in Berlin, Germany. We have offices in San Francisco, São Paulo, Tel Aviv, Singapore and Beijing and are active in markets around the world.
What is your core business?
Our core business is adtech, providing mobile advertising services to our advertisers and publishers using our proprietary, data-driven technology.
How did you get to your business idea and when was your company established?
Our founder and CEO, Gary Lin, recognized early on that mobile was the future of advertising, and that that future was being shaped by data.
By remaining transparent and flexible he was able to grow the company from a small ad network to the global adtech company focused on native advertising that it is today.
Are you using Venture Capital? And if – who are your Venture Partners?
We do not have any venture partners. Glispa Global Group grew organically since its launch in 2008.
In early 2015, the company received a strategic investment of $77M from Market Tech, a holding company listed on the London Stock Exchange.
This has helped fuel our strategic growth and we’ve significantly grown our product, tech and data science teams and have done a few acquisitions.
In which countries are you active? Are you planning to expand your venture in other countries? And if – where?
We are headquartered in Berlin but have additional offices in the US, Brazil, Israel, Singapore and China.
We are active across the globe, running campaigns across 187 countries, including both developed markets such as those in North America and Europe, as well as developing and high-growth emerging markets like China, Latin America and Southeast Asia.
We will continue to grow in new markets which show high potential for growth.
Where do you see the company in 5 years?
In five years, Glispa Global Group will be the leading global mobile adtech company.
We will continue to build our own technology, including our data management platform, to provide tailor-made, non-intrusive native ads for mobile (or other formats, whether that might be IoT, wearables, connected cars, etc.) to users across the globe.
How many employees work at your company right now? Are you planning to expand?
We are currently 255 employees across the globe, and are always looking for top talent to join our team!
What is the average age of your team members?
We are a relatively young team, with an average age around 30.
What kind of attitude should new employees have to have in order to work at your company?
At Glispa, we work hard and we play hard. Alongside a lot of great benefits, parties and events, we work hard to produce results and create value for the company.

Our highlight in 2016 was the company retreat, attended by all employees from all global offices, to the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas in March.
Do you offer new employees a relocation service or help to relocate?
Yes, we not only assist with relocation services such as visa sponsorship, we also offer paid accommodation upon moving here, until our new team members can find their own place to stay.
We provide lots of support for a new employee’s transition including neighborhood tours and, free language lessons for employees and their families (German and English), and other perks.

Glispa operates on around 4000 square meters of floor space in our Berlin global headquarters.
