Please tell us something about your Company, when was your company founded, your url, your location, in how many countries are you active:
BOOK A TIGER is Germany’s first digital facility services company with a full service-and-supply solution for households and SMEs.
Our service is available via www.bookatiger.com as well as by app. BOOK A TIGER was founded in April 2014 by my co-founder Nikita Fahrenholz (CEO) and myself.
Our headquarter is located in Berlin and we are operating in all major German cities as well as in Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands.

What is your core business?
BOOK A TIGER is hacking cleaning. We are doing this by offering a viable black market alternative to private household cleaning and by turning traditional facility services for business customers upside down.
We enable easy booking of professional cleaners and our customers have the opportunity to manage their booking and additional services such as catering via app or web interface.
How did you get to your business idea and when was your company established?
When Nikita and I were working at Delivery Hero, I bought a shelf at IKEA. I called Nikita and asked him to help me in assembling, but he did not want to.
Then we asked ourselves: What happens when you need immediate help in the household? In a moment in which you want to have something done ad hoc, your price sensitivity is very low.
People do not care about if they pay 20 or 40 Euros: the main thing is that the shelf is assembled. That was the initial start to the idea of building a company around household services.
Pretty quickly though we gravitated towards the cleaning market, as it is very fragmented, the business is repetitive in nature and feels well suited for disruption by a digital player.
Are you using Venture Capital? And if – who are your Venture Partners?
Yes, we are supported by investors such as DN Capital, Target Global, Avala Capital and others.
In which countries are you active? Are you planning to expand your venture in other countries? And if – where?
BOOK A TIGER is operating in four markets: Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands. We feel that there is a need for our services in many other markets around the globe, so we are definitely looking to expand geographically.
Where do you see the company in 5 years?
We will be the de-facto standard for professional household cleaning in Europe and will be positioned as the leading digital facility services company for business customers in Europe.
How many employees work at your company right now? Are you planning to expand?
We are currently employing several hundred people. Unfortunately we are not able to share more detailed numbers. In terms of expansion: we are hiring for almost all positions in our company. So yes, we are expanding.
What is the average age of your team members?
29 years old.
What kind of attitude should new employees have to have in order to work at your company?
They should be curious and open to learn new things. Additionally they should be flexible, willing to work on a variety of different topics and be funny and friendly, not taking themselves too serious.

We offer multiple benefits and perks, but this you can get at other companies as well.

Do you offer new employees a relocation service or help to relocate?
Absolutely. Depending on the individual case we support them with visa topics, housing, pay re-location fees, etc.

How big is your Office/Production Site?
Our office has approximately 850m•. We expect that to change soon though as the company is growing.
Did you get help from an interior designer by designing the office? And if who did you work together with?
No, the interior is done by ourselves, mainly by office management and HR – Thanks Sandra and Anna!
