We visited the company rent24 and their great location in Berlin-Mitte. Here is the interview – and have a look at the team and their cool office in Berlin.
Coworking Spaces are a great alternative to renting a regular space. Specially for Start-ups or companies who like to have a nice work space in a other location then their HQ is located at. So we got curious and wanted to know more about the possibilities and asked rent24 to show us their location in Berlin-Mitte. And answer us some questions regarding the contract and benefits of renting a space.
When was your company founded?
rent24 was founded 2015 in Berlin. Our coworking space in Berlin Schöneberg was the first one we opened, which we will soon complement with the first rent24 coliving space.
What is your core business?
rent24 is one of the leading coworking and coliving providers in Europe. Despite flexible workstations in open spaces and single offices we offer communal conference rooms as well as spacious lounge, activity and event areas are part of the portfolio.
From sole trading entrepreneurs over startups up to established companies, rent24 offers the ideal spaces to work, network and grow flexibly.
Alongside efficient workspaces, rent24 also offers coliving, thus provides accommodation in high-quality furnishedsingle-bed rooms or multi-bed rooms. Every space is realized in the unique rent24-deisgn and the spirit of the share-economy.
In how many countries are you active?
We have over 25 locations in Germany, The Netherlands, Israel and in the USA and are expanding fast.

We have 21 operating locations right now (04/2018)
Please tell us something about your location in Berlin Mitte, when was your location founded?
The official opening of our coworking space in Berlin Mitte was in September 2016. We had a phenomenal start with a great party and are now very happy to have built an amazing community!
Where is this location located at?
Our coworking space is located right in the heart of Berlin at Oberwallstraße 6. In the vicinity you find everything from various cafes and restaurants to all major Berlin attractions like “Gendarmenmarkt”, “Deutscher Dom” or “Deutsches Historisches Museum”.
How big is your space?
Our space has more than 7.200 square and 5 floors. It is located in a beautiful traditional building, the old department store “Kaufhaus Manheimer”.
How many Team Spaces do you offer? And how many conference rooms do you offer?
We do have several community areas for our coworkers to connect or just to rest. In addition, in this coworking space we have 12 separate meeting rooms. Every room has its own individual design.
Is there a kitchen? Are there recreational possibilities? And what does make the location special?
Yes, we have communal kitchen areas on every floor with free coffee, water, tea or beer and fresh fruits. In our activity rooms our members have the possibility to relax exchange or simply have some fun.
We offer billiard, table tennis, table football, a mini golf course or a play station. Also, we have an in-house cinema, which can be used for presentations or pitches, but also for movie nights.
Renting a work desk or a room. What is included? Is the Internet Connection in the price?
What about the landline? Heat, water etc.?
We offer workstations or offices that are fully equipped and “ready to use”, high speed internet, electricity, heat, water and a cleaning service are included in the price.

We have a multifarious community. From sole trading startup entrepreneurs to freelancers to students to established companies with large teams, rent24 offers an ideal contact point for everyone to work, to connect and to grow.

Are there costumers who started their business at rent24 and who are now running a very successful company?
We do have several great stories to tell. For example, one coworker started on his own, sitting at a single desk in our open space, is now renting an entire office with his grown team and is looking forward to expand further within the rent24 space.
Tell us something about the community in rent24 locations – is it difficult to get to know others? – are you organizing any meetings, parties?
Not difficult at all! Our Members have a very open mindset. Also, we are happy to foster communication and exchange through our regularly hold community events, networking events, workshops, sports or leisure courses. These make getting to know each other very easy.
How many employees work at your location right now?
At this moment, we have more than 100 employees. In each of our sites there is a permanent team of community managers. In that way we secure individual support for our tenants as well.
Are you planning to expand?
Yes, we are expanding very quickly nationally and internationally to grow the network of our spaces and community.
What is the average age of your team members?
In average, our team members are about 30 years old.
